I've just spent nearly four years on the streets, hot weather, cold weather, wet and dry, usually two big cameras in hand, the Rollei and the Leica, Hexar or Yashica Electro GSN. Having run up the miles and burned more than a few rolls of film, I'm trying something new with this collection. I've built a small studio and am shooting nudes with the same steady sense of purpose that I applied to Shanghai's old neighborhoods.

Nudes are not my claim to fame. I have no claim to fame. What I do have is a love of light and form and character, and I'm eager see how far they can carry this effort.

It's been fascinating right from the start, with an undeniable thrill that comes from learning, from trying out new things, from meeting people, from sharing ideas and critiques.
